- Policy development, including reviewing, drafting, and making recommendations to human resources and labor related policies and handbooks.
- Representation and consultation concerning bargaining unit determination and union elections at the National Labor Relations Board and corresponding state agencies.
- Representation at administrative agencies and federal and state courts during labor and employment disputes, including strikes, lock-outs, picketing, discrimination, retaliation or other employment related claims.
- Collective Bargaining representation and counsel including survey development, providing comparable tables and analysis, department level intake, drafting proposals, preparing responsive communications, and integrating collective bargaining agreements.
- Representation services during the grievance process, mediation and arbitration.
- Negotiation and drafting of employment agreements.
- Day to day counseling on a variety of matters and on compliance with state and federal labor and employment laws.
- Counseling on recruiting, hiring, evaluating, disciplining, investigating, and discharge of employees.
- Counseling regarding Title IX and Title VI matters.
- Review and negotiation of contracts with outside vendors.
