Experience
Mr. McKenna represents school committees, cities, towns, and other public and private employers in labor and employment matters before arbitrators as well as state and federal courts and various state and federal agencies including the Massachusetts Department of Labor Relations, Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Massachusetts Civil Service Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. Mr. McKenna represents management in collective bargaining negotiations with unions representing public sector and private sector employees. He advises private and public sector clients on a wide range of labor and employment law topics including collective bargaining, labor relations, discipline and discharge, layoffs and demotions, discrimination, investigations, severance and release agreements, and policy.
Previously, Mr. McKenna represented and counseled a large primarily public sector union and its bargaining unit employees in all labor and employment matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, contract grievance hearings, and hearings before arbitrators and before various state and federal agencies.
